DVS has established an ongoing plan to help Veterans obtain food through a new partnership with GetFoodNYC. Beyond that, a map conveying free food resources across the City, including food pantries and Grab & Go Meals that are available at NYC Schools, can be found online here. To apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, also known as food stamps) or cash assistance online, please visit this site.
Low-income seniors and Veterans who are over 60 years old can contact the Volunteers of Legal Service (VOLS) Elderly Project and Veterans Initiative to obtain free help with establishing a will to protect your legal rights and health care decisions. Veterans can
